Brook Blanche is an accomplished singer/songwriter who performs strong and vivid Country/Americana music with an of-the-moment sensibility utilizing his by turns raucous and subtle baritone vocals that bring a hush to the room and command attention thanks to his voice and the genuine nature of his songwriting. Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Blanche has toured in the U.S. and Europe for 17 years, both solo and with The Calamity Cubes! He has released multiple Cubes! Albums as well as a self-titled solo album with more on the way.

Growing up and always deeply into all kinds of music, Blanche grew up singing in church every week and learning to play instruments from his father, a multi-instrumentalist. “Our family would always get together and sing, so I learned a lot about the dynamics of harmony because my parents do it real well.” Writing songs came to him naturally. “I didn’t want to learn other people’s stuff, didn’t see merit in that. So instead of going to college and playing football, I decided I’d father write songs. It’s easier on the body than football, but can wear on your emotions pretty hard,” he says.

Blanche grew up on a family farm and sings of the loss of that lifestyle and pastime in songs like “Head Of The Table,” decrying the monetization and dehumanization brought to it by big agriculture companies like Monsanto. He’s also spent time working at cemeteries on and off since high school, tending to the final resting place of those interned there, work he values highly to the point that he’d like to open a cemetery for artists and musicians because: “We don’t get nice funerals when we die. We get poor people funerals.”

Over the last going on two decades, Blanche’s music has continued to evolve and he’s continued to perform across the country both solo and with The Calamity Cubes!, including playing nearly every year of the Muddy Roots Music Festival in Cookeville, Tenn., and will be doing so again in 2025. He’ll also be touring across the country this fall, including a planned tour in New England and beyond.

Blanche released his self-titled album in 2016 and is currently in the final production stages of his next album.
